  • I had a 2nd ENT appt for Joaquin, after the xrays confirming his enlarge adenoids. I am considering it.

Good luck to your little one, and let us know how he is after that.

  • Watching them go under is prob the worst part. Surgery itself for tubes and adenoids is about half an hour. My daughter's recovery was rough and took a full two weeks but it's not bad at all. Oh except the bad breath...that was AWFUL.
  • My daughter will be getting her adenoids removed and tubes put in next month. We have to call on Monday to schedule the procedure. I'm so nervous but everyone is telling me that it's a fairly simple procedure. It's just so hard to think about having your child go through any type of surgery. Good luck to your LO and to you. Please if you can, let me know how the procedure is and how the recovery goes afterwards. TIA! and once again, lots of luck!! I hope everything goes well and that he has a very good recovery!
  • Can you tell me which Dr. you are using?  My daughter may need another set since they fell out and already has has 2 infections since.
  • I hope it goes well.  I'm considering this for my 2.5 DS (getting 2nd opinion) and can understand your concern. Hang in there and stop Googling!

  • Caleb had it done 2 years ago and it was the best decision we made. Chances are he's going to have to have his adenoids out again since they grow back.

Like pp said, for me the worst part was the anesthesia. I was most worried about that. The dr was out in 20 mins telling us everything went great. He wasn't a happy camper coming out of the anesthesia but once he slept it off on the car ride home, he was as good as new. You would have never known the kid had just had surgery by the way he was running around!

Good luck! He's going to do great :)
