I got home from work today and opened up the fridge to get a drink only to find it FULL of strawberries. Apparently DH went to the flea market today and got a flat of strawberries for $10 from some guy he knows. So we have 10 containers of strawberries and no way we're going to use them all. Can they be frozen somehow?

Re: Freezing Strawberries
Flash freeze them on a baking sheet and then put them in a zipock bag. We pick berries in the summer then use them in smoothies all winter long.
We do the same. Hull them first.

Yep, forgot that part.
Yup, what pps said. They are going to lose their shape a little bit and get a little mushy but they'll be great for smoothies, syrups and baking into muffins, etc.
You can also slice them then reserve the juice and add a little lemon juice and a little sugar and pack the slices in the juice in freezer bags. That can be used for pies, jams, syrups, or anything with a sweet filling like pastries or tarts.
