Any good pleasure reading books on cats/dogs?

I'm looking for some new reads and thought I would add a book or two about pets to my book collection. The ones based on real life stories/experiences are the best but I'm open to fiction as well I suppose. What's out there that's worth reading? I'm familiar with the Chicken Soup books, Marley and Me and the James Herriot collection. Anything else?
