Help! How to wash a faux fur jacket to make it soft and gorgeous?!
I washed my toddlers faux fur Gap jacket by the lable...and it came out horrible. It's not soft and all the fur is clumped. Gross!!! I thought maybe it had some fabric softener on it, so I re washed it 3 times without any soap or anything. Still gross!!! It says no dry cleaning-- that's why I didn't do that in the first place. Please help!! I love this jacket and I'm so upset!! It's 80% modaacrylic fabric for FYI. Other 20% is polyester.

The same thing happened to me with my Gap faux fur sweater and I spent about an hour brushing it out. It looked a little better, but not the same, as the ends were blackened. So wish I would have let it air-dry!
