FG photo help

I got this rejection message today: Image is blurry when reduced, will accept if you fix and resubmit.

Any advice on how to fix this?

Re: FG photo help

  • Did you try sharpening after you cropped/sized to 250x250?

  • Hmm..sharpening like an "auto correct" type thing?
  • There's a difference between reducing size to their specified KB size and resizing to 250 x 250 (the latter is preferred).

I use GIMP to do this.

Do you still use Picnik?  In the "Basic Edits"  there is an option to "Sharpen."  You can try adjusting the sharpness to see if that helps.

I often find after I've cropped and resized my square to 250 that the image becomes blurry.  Sometimes a little sharpening does the trick.
