Vibes for David please - updated

He was exposed to blood at a scene (it got in his eye, I don't know how yet) and he called me from the ER, where he was waiting for tests. Before I got to the hospital the patient's rapid HIV test came back negative, so David was released for the time being. We are waiting  for a Hepatitis test on the patient (hopefully results tomorrow) and David has a bunch of tests done as well and we should have those results tomorrow. Patient isn't super high risk, but you never know. He is cooperating with the district's requests for testing so that's good. 

 

Vibes that everything comes back negative. I am really freaked out.

Update - All the tests came back negative. All is well. Thanks, girls!

Very scary. Vibes that everything comes back negative and nothing like this ever happens again. FWIW, when I was in college I was getting a tetanus shot and the nurse tried to recap the needle after it was done and stabbed himself in the hand with it, thus exposing him to my blood. I of course cooperated with all testing and had no diseases, hopefully it's the same for this situation.
