Hershey Park with 2 year old?

I'm thinking of taking my son who will be almost 2 years old to Hershey Park this summer.  I haven't been there in over 15 years and was a teenager at the time so I have no idea what they have for little kids.  Do you think there is enough there to do for this age group?  Is the park geared for toddlers or more for teens?  Any thoughts of opinions of whether I should go here or somewhere else for a long weekend? thx

Re: Hershey Park with 2 year old?

  • We took our kids last year (the twins were 2 and Brady was 1) they had a blast!

  • We went there when Danny was 1.5 and 2.5.    We had a blast both times.   They have a lot of kiddie rides and family rides.   Yes they do have thrill rides for the teens but it is a very family friendly park.   Even at 1.5, there were lots of rides he could on by himself as well as rides we could all go on.

Also close to Hershey is Dutch Wonderland.   It's a park geared for kids.   All kiddie and family rides.   Danny was 36 inches when we went(he was 2.5) and he was able to go on almost every ride.

  • We were there when Sabrina was almost 3 and Nicholas was not quite 2. There was plenty for them to see and do.
