Re: Monday Pity Party B*tch Fest?
I had off Friday which was great. But of course I woke up this morning with a horrible sore throat. It feels like I'm trying to swallow a knife! I'm also dizzy and have an ear ache - good ol sinus cold coming on! I stopped at walgreens for some drugs and got the daytime ones but I could fall asleep at my desk. I'm considering leaving at noon but I'm scared that tomorrow I'll feel worse so trying to hold off and maybe stay home tomorrow instead. I also bought benedryl so will for sure be out tonight!
I don't understand why banks are closed for Presidents Day. So not fair.
Jude was fine Thursday...until 3pm when he woke up super sick with a 102.7 fever...two trips to the ER and a 105 fever later (and a LOT of tests), he has a bad case of croup and pneumonia and required three shots--two of antibiotics (before they knew what he had) and a decadron shot and he is finally on the mend
I woke up the next day with the stomach flu and had to seriously put Jude down every time I fed him to get sick--fabulous. Oh, and this inevitably TANKED my milk supply, joy.
Did I mention last week was my first week back to work full time and I was only there two days?
Here's to hoping for a better week this week.
What a terrible way to start a week, no?!
Come on, someone has to have a bright outlook.
I read this article this morning & it brought tears to my eyes. Organ transplantation = full of amazing.
We ended up buying the doggie door insert extension for $400+ (it's being shipped, should arrive tomorrow) and now our dog hasn't gotten up at night since his episode last week.
We video taped our son last night throwing the biggest fit in his crib. It's so pathetic that it's funny. Poor little dude just loves to cuddle and snuggle. And hates his crib. We did eventually got him down to sleep in his crib, but it's about every other day he ends up back in our bed.
E has to be the sassiest. I guess I am not coming to her birthday party.
R- glad you all are feeling better.
I luckily had a transition. After I went to work, DH stayed home with S for 3 months so he didn't go into daycare until he was 6 months. I was jealous of DH but it definately helped even though I still struggled when he went to daycare.
It gets better. I think out of it, I get more joy out of going to get him every day. I always enjoyed leaving work but now, I can't wait to pick him up and as he has gotten older, he gets excited to see me.
It gets easier but I think there will always be a longing to be home full time if I could.

I had an awesome Saturday. Went and saw 4 out of 9 of the Oscar nominated best pictures. Will see the rest of them this coming Saturday. Sunday was okay. Cleaned house and then got a wild hair to start organizing a bunch of sh*t, so it turned into an all day project. I am sure DH loves me for ruining his lazy Sunday plans. Then I watched my friends little boy, which was good.
So...then here is my b*tchfest. Last night, DH and I are sitting on the couch and our 5 month old puppy is breathing really fast and shallow. He has looked kind of bloated for a day or two, so we take him to the emergency vet (why do my animals always get sick after hours?!?!). $600 later, he is just fine. Basically, he is dumb dog and got into both the trash and cat food yesterday and overate. Apparently, we were too busy cleaning to supervise him properly. We suck. So much for that tax money that went into savings. Grrr..
OMG!! Are you serious?!?! I am so sorry
Whuuuuuut?! Dude. I'm so sorry.
Let's see:
My flat iron quit working. So I had to try and do something curly with my hair. Okay then. Dropped the curling iron on my shoulder, now I have a nice burn.
Kids were so not wanting to go to daycare today since they don't have school. Made me feel like an asss.
Got to work, my laptop wouldn't recognize the wireless. Spent a half-hour screwing with that.
It's my period week and I feel bloated and fat and down on myself. Would so love to eat a whole box of oatmeal cream pies and drink a bottle of wine.
Bought a new pair of jeans on Saturday. They are the smallest jeans I've had since pre-Ava and Lily. Wore them for about a half hour before I realized that they might be the sh!ttiest pair of jeans ever. Old Navy jeans blow, ya'll. They were so stretched out and saggy after about 30 minutes that I could pull them down without unbuttoning them. Taking the second pair back today. Wish I could take them both back.
100% serious. A big project I was working on got screwed up. 10% of it I took the blame for and was my fault, apparently that was enough.
Bigger and better right? I hated it anyway.
This is my reaction right now --->
Sorry to hear this.
DH is stateside for two weeks for training...
