Luck with starting flower seeds?
Has anyone had luck with starting flowers from seeds indoors? I'm looking for annuals for pots this year and would love to get started with some, but I haven't ever had good luck.

What are you trying to plant? What went wrong
Currently, I'm growing viola, pansy, agastache and dahlias. Are you able to give them 12-16hrs of *direct* light? None of my windows are very sunny so I use grow lights. Also note that some plants (like the agastache) the seeds should not be buried...they need light to germinate. The packet would tell you this.
Can you recommend your grow lights? Last year I bought about $100 worth of flowers. This year we won't be able to afford it, so growing from seeds would really help.
