Shopping for boy's clothes is annoying right now

R is growing out of his current size, especially pants. We went to Carter's today to get him stuff, but they barely have any pants out (we only want elastic-waist pants). It was all shorts already. They had onsie sets with pants, so I bought some of those, but they barely had any stand-alone pants. I think I got him 5 pairs which is not enough. I am not sure what he is going to wear until June! At least girls can wear capris starting in the Spring, but he is stuck in pants until the summer so I need more.

  • Try Target.  They always have separates.

The Target Infant boy's section never seems to have anything. It has like 2 racks when the girl's section has so much more. I do have some returns to make though so I will check. I get S stuff there all of the time, but haven't much luck with stuff for R yet.

  • Do they have any on clearance at Children's Place?  I bought a lot of pants and shorts there through the years but always prefer the clearance...

  • walmart. seriously. he's going to grow out of them so fast, unless you're planning on having another child and would prefer to have clothing to hold on to, walmart is cheap and has lots of seperates - and almost all of them are elastic pants, even up to 5t

  • Gap or gymboree clearance section
  • I didn't pay a lot on the Carter's stuff. Everything was BOGO free and I had a 20% coupon, so it was $5 or $6 per pair. It's just the selection. In-store clearance-rack shopping is tough for me. Hard to get to the store in-person lately. That is why I did it today when the kids were in school.

  • OMG....I thought it was just me!!!! My issue is my 1 y/o is in a sz 2t and no one makes onesie sets in that sz. I too have returns to make at target & will check but I agree....girl section so much more robust! I did get a few items at Old Navy baby sale. TCP has some cargo pants for $10 FYI. They also have free ship today & I think there is a 20% promo out there. I tried Gymbo & Gap...nothing. Crazy 8 had a few items that I got...track & sweat pants that are NOT fleece.
  • walmart garanimals is a great line for elastic waist- there is not a ton- but definitely worthy of a look-

    also old navy-

  • I love Naarjie for elastic waist pants and jeans.   http://www.naartjiekids.com/

They have a store at Garden State Plaza.  Great stuff.  Definitely check out WalMart.  I also liked the Garanimals pants for my kids.  You should be able to find a lot on clearance at Gymboree and Osh Kosh too.

  • I like Target for boys clothes.  I find their pants to be very long, which works because my 19 month old wears 18m clothes, but most of the Gap pants he wears are getting too short.  All the target stuff is fine.
  • i have luck at kohl's as well.

  • I haven't looked recently since I bought a bunch of clothes for A a couple weeks ago but I had decent luck finding pants at BRU in the clearance sections, and at kohl's in their jumping beans line. I haven't seen what target has in stock in the Circo stuff recently.

  • I did a pants run yesterday and got 3 pairs at Osh Kosh. Jeans were $10 and cargos were $16 (with my 20% off coupon). Children's Place had very little. I agree its a pain right now because the stores are showing summer stuff. I just can't buy that far ahead--I never know when he is going to have a growth spurt!
