The hospital I had my daughter at doesn't do VBACs. I'm due for my yearly exam, and wanted to go a clinic where I could talk with them about it. Where other than Iowa Clinic will do VBACs? I was hoping to deliver at Methodist.
I'm not pregnant now, but planning to start TTC in 6-12 months and want to be prepared. TIA
Re: Clinics who do VBACs
it really depends on your provider and your ability to self-advocate. many women find the most supportive providers are the Iowa City midwives.
DEFINITELY check out the local ICAN website and attend some meetings, even before you are pregnant. they are an awesome bunch of women. www.icaniowa.com
yes, definitely hire a doula! : )
The entire hospital where you delivered the first time doesn't allow VBACs?
I have no experience outside of Dr. Mintzer, but agree w/ Lucylea that he is very pro-patient choice. According to the L&D nurses at Methodist, he is one of the very strongest patients advocates.
