Sorry I forgot to post yesterday!
Feb. 21: On this day in 1927, Erma Bombeck was born. Before the Internet, her monthly ?Good Housekeeping? column was the closest thing to a blog I ever read.
What is one thing you faithfully read every week (or day, if applicable), without fail, and why?

Re: QOTD - Tuesday
I don't think there's one thing I read every single day. I guess the weekly category is just my usual round of blogs in my reader - ranging from icanhazcheeseburger to mommy blogs to celeb crap to recipes to books. There's not that one most important thing among them, though.
Back in the day my faithful weekly read was the Post magazine, for restaurant reviews and Gene Weingarten's column.
I'm not a big blog reader. I'll read individual articles or blog entries when someone links to them, but I'm not subscribed to any.
Daily, I read the blogs in my google reader, some of them post daily but others don't. I do this because i'm bored at work.
Weekly, I read DH's "The Week" magazine. It takes all the major news stories from the week and compresses them down into understandable articles that are pretty unbiased. I do this because I hate reading newspapers and watching the actual news. Plus - they have a section called "Only in America" and it has some pretty hilarious sh!t that really only happens in America (the lady that sued McD's for burning herself on coffee, would be an example).
We make the rockin' world go 'round.
Back when I rode metro, I read Express every morning and did the sudoku on the way home. Now I drive and am uninformed.
Up until a few months ago, I read the blogs in my reader on a daily basis (annie's eats, bakerella, house*tweaking, creature comforts, how sweet it is, hostess with the mostest, etc.), but my company won't update its stupid browser and Google Reader is no longer supported (my cw tried to download a new version of IE without permission and it crashed everything and she had to call the help desk to uninstall it). I'm so far behind!

Chocolate Blog!
i don't really do blogs.
i faithfully read several "columns" (dan savage, carolyn hax) and i try to read the paper daily (post). we don't have tv right now (still mad at comcast and haven't selected a new provider yet - really enjoying not having tv, actually!), so the paper is how i get my news
I read Entertainment Weekly in the morning while I eat breakfast.
Otherwise, I just read friends' blogs to keep updated with their lives. I have other blogs I read if I'm looking for inspiration for cooking or something.
Stand up for something you believe in.
I read Carolyn Hax everyday b/c she is in my FB feed, though I don't know if I'd go out looking for her. I check the GOG blog and the GOG chat every Thursday to see what is going on over the weekend down here.
I, shamefully, read Perez Hilton whenever I am looking for mindless entertainment, but it isn't really a "must" or a "can't live without" - its more of a "I've come to the end of the internet" kind of thing...
I do check WaPo.com and Courant.com (for Hartford, where my main office is) every day just to see if there is any sort of news that I need to be aware of.
I don't really read anything daily anymore, because I'm not really allowed to be on the Internet for "fun" at work, except during lunch and I prefer to get away from my desk. I try to keep up with my blogs, because I subscribe to a few that post multiple times a day.
I used to read the WaPo chats most days (Travel, Tom S., Carolyn Hax, GOG, etc.) and back in the day when I actually subscribed to the paper, I faithfully read the comics, Ann Landers & Dear Abbey (which tells you how long it's been since I subscribed to a daily paper!).
I read I'm Not Obsessed almost every morning
Also, I read the top stories on WashingtonPost and the Reliable Source.
I read BBC news everyday. I used to read Sh!t My Dad Says Twitter feed, but then it got too popular.
Other than that, things are hit and miss. I don't subscribe to blogs.
Yep. My only really faithful routine is to start up the computer, check FB and then the nest.
The only blog I follow really faithfully is my brother's. He's in Tchad for seven years and calling there is near impossible. His blog is the best way for me to keep up with him.
- CNN
- Suri's Burn Book
- The Nest
- Various article/humor sites on a weekly basis, but definitely not every day.
Other than the nest, nothing.
Ask Amy and Carolyn Hax
It's the first thing i read in the morning in the actual newspaper. I love some drama in the morning!

The nest and the blogs in my reader. I get most of my news from the nest, facebook and jezebel.com. I have the Washington Post app on my phone and check that almost every day, but don't really read much past the headlines unless it's something I'm interested in.
It also depends what is going on. I was glued to twitter on Friday because of the marriage equality vote in the MD House of Delegates.
On the computer, I usually check the Nest and Facebook daily to keep up with my IRL and Internet friends. I look for the new posts to Enjoying the Small Things each week because I love Kelle Hampton's writing and positive outlook on life, and love that she has tons of photos throughout.
Hard copy, now that I get the daily paper, I always read the Weekend section every Friday to find things to do and Date Lab in the Sunday Washington Post magazine to remind me of how glad I am not to be dating. : )
