Hey everyone! It has been a long time since I posted on here, but I need some help with spas. I am looking for a nice day spa within 1-1.5 hours away from Bel Air. I was hearing rave reviews about About Faces in Towson so I gave it two tries and hated it both times. I just didn't get the aaaahhhh spa feeling if you know what I mean? Any place you can recommend that is great? I want a great place I can get away from the boys at home and get an amazing massage with comfy robes and a relaxing atmosphere. I like to be totally pampered when I get the chance to get away.

Re: day spas
I haven't been there in over a year, but my mother, sisters and I used to go to Turf Valley Spa every year to celebrate our birthdays. We've done both day spa packages and overnight spa+meal+hotel room packages, and thoroughly enjoyed them all no matter what. I've had facials, massages, and body scrubs there, and discovered that I'm not a massage person, but absolutely *loved* everything else.
I believe there have been some good reviews for The Pearl Spa in Maple Lawn as well, but I have no personal experience with them.
Thanks! I did come across the Turf Valley when I just did a google search. And the Pearl Spa looks amazing!!! I will have to look for some reviews.
I have been meaning to try this spa for years, but I think it is more of a special occasion place. I am not sure my hubby would like it if I went alone, lol!!!
The absolute best spa I have been to is Spa Toccare in the Borgata! Super expensive but soooooo worth it every other year or so, lol!!
Spa in the Valley in Hunt Valley Town Center. It's probably 40 minutes if you come the back way down from Bel Air. It's a Salon by Debbie (the same one at the Ave at White Marsh) but the Hunt Valley location is 10 times better. They have a Tuscan Room that you get to use with your services and I find that HV is just better overall for massages.
Okay so I just looked at CHAS. It also looks very nice. Anyone been there?
