deodorant recs

Right now I use Secret Clinical Strength, but since having Isla, it is not working.  I sweat a lot, and this stuff did a great job when I first started using it, but now by the end of the day, I stink!  Any recommendations for another type of deodorant?  The regular stuff has never done much for me.  Did someone here talk about a crystal from Whole Foods??

Re: deodorant recs

  • Have you talked to your doctor?  They can prescribe you something.  I used that a few years back and it helped.
  • Clinical strength hasn't been working as good for me either :(  The crystal worked even less for me though.  I blame post baby hormones that never go back.

  • I think I use Lady speed stick - it's a purple container. I get the clear gel one. I used it for my wedding 2 years ago and have gotten it since. I tend to sweat bad and this works good for me. The regular white deodorant I was always having to reapply.

  • I sweat alot too, my doctor prescribes dry-sol.  You put it on at night (its cheap).  During the day I use Degree
  • Botox.  ;)  I may know a place that does it. ;)  LOL!

Yep.  We have people come in to the medspa and do it...their hands too..one of the girls that does hair had it done to her palms because her hands get sweaty.  It works the same as Botox would on the face, temporarily paralyzes the nerves in that area...paralyzes the glands so they aren't stimulated therefore don't produce excess sweat.

    Google it!   FDA approved.  ;)

My laser hair treatments have had a similiar (although less effective) effect on my sweat glands.  I sweat A TON also, and each time I get treated it gets MUCH better.

Dang it! I had a groupon for the laser hair removal, but got pregnant before I could get in the first session.  They wouldn't let me use it past the expiration date, so I gave it to my sister. Grrr!
