What are the Catholics giving up for lent this year?
Re: What are the Catholics giving up for lent this year?
To this I suggest you try to think of a lesson that can't be taught with any other fable or fairytale. The bible doesn't suggest anything that I think we as a society could not have come to on our own. Children's books and your influence in the like will teach kindness, not stealing, sharing. But without all that you should have no other gods but me and if you find someone that does you should stone them to death.
I hope I don't sound preachy or judgey. It's not my intent. Just wanted to share another point of view, in the spirit of the topic.
