Funny travel story!
My mom is coming home from visiting a friend in AZ. While she was there she bought the girls light up pink cowboy boots. Well, that was enough to get her and her boyfriend stopped and searched by airport security! Apparently it was a scene lol! All is fine and they got through, but I never would have guessed that would be a problem, guess the electronics from the boots triggered something in the x-ray machine!

I'm sure someone at the TSA got a good chuckle once they figured out what it was that triggered the X-ray machine.
Yup, they were out seeing Phyll and Karen! My mom's had a boyfriend for almost a year and Phyll hadn't met him yet, so they were so glad to go!
I'm sure they got a great laugh at the end! Never occurred to me to worry about getting light-up shoes through security considering how ubiquitous they are!

A friend of mine went through a much more raucous scene with airport security. She does sex education, but does more work with adults around pleasure. Apparently, her bag of sex toys was searched. They went through, no problem. But the fig jelly and honey she bought as souvenirs were taken from her. Oy.

Oh my goodness! These restrictions are such a pain. Love that the sex toys got through without a problem though!
