I just did a blog post about how today marks three years to the day I found out exH was cheating......

I cannot believe it's been three years. Surreal. 

Hopefully, someone early in the journey of getting out of a marriage/betrayal will see some hope in it.

Thanks for sharing. I am looking forward to when I can look back and be happy I made the decision that I did. I have dealt with the online thing with my STBXH for years unfortunately. I wonder when I am even ready to date again if I will do any online dating. I met STBXH online almost 10 years ago so it was really different then. Ah well...that's something I will worry about much later and after counseling.

Very interesting to read, especially the part about him pushing you to the ground to get his phone. My H had never laid a hand on me our entire marriage, but the night I found emails on his phone to the woman he was cheating with (he gave me the phone and told me to look through it to prove he wasn't cheating - not sure why he thought I WOULDN'T find them, but whatever), he wrestled me to the ground to get the phone back. He told me I might as well give it to him because he'd break my arm before he let me read their private conversations. Had your XH ever been aggressive like that toward you before this incident? Maybe it's just something else in the "Cheating SOB Handbook" that I wasn't aware of.

Nope, he had NEVER been like that with me ever and it was scary, but I gave up the phone right away because I didn't want to fight back. I saw what I needed to see, so I just gave up the phone and let him have it so he wouldn't get upset about that--because that wasn't the issue anymore. He was not super violent with pushing me down, but it was definitely out of character.

Thanks for sharing TEM.   My situation was very similar, except I found out via emails to another woman after XH left for work.  Isn't it crazy how we remember all the details of that day and the upcoming few days?  I totally get what you're saying that it was like slow motion and super speed all at the same time.  At that point, I also knew that it was over and there was no going back.
