In Four Days

We are going to Chicago. I am beyond excited. Exclamation points don't even cover it.

Re: In Four Days

  • Cool, is the trip for sight-seeing or for something in particular? I am toying with the idea of going to Chicago for my birthday this year. I was born there and lived there when I was little but haven't been back for 20 years. I need to go again!
  • Well, color me jealous.  If you see any of my friends, tell them I say hi..ha.

    Exciting.

Did y'all move into your house yet?

No. Which is part of the reason for the trip. Ha.

Sight seeing, generally getting away. This is the first time Rob and I have gone somewhere by ourselves for reason not affiliated with family or weddings. I would go to Chicago every weekend if I could afford it.

  • Well, you are in luck! Most of the midwest has been having a very mild winter and Chicago will be in the  30s-50s. I love Chicago too! I plan on heading over when it warms up even more. Love the city!

  • WooHoo!  I don't think you're going to get the snow you're hoping for, but I'm sure that won't damper your trip!  Supposed to be 50 here the next couple of days but get a little cooler (upper 30s, low 40s) for the weekend.

What's on your agenda?  Anything planned, or just winging it??

I know. I am so bummed about the snow! :((((( Still, so excited to get into cooler weather. The things about cold up there is that it doesn't feel nearly as cold. To me, 40s there feels like 60s here.  Until the wind blows at least!

I am trying to plan things out, but my husband is not cooperating. I want to do the city pass, and hit up some of the places doing restaurant week for sure. OH, and Ed Debevics! IT IS SO ON!

LOL at Ed Debevics!  I've been there a few times, but one time in particular stands out....  The waitress was very old school - no elbows on the table, etc.  Well, she totally made my little bro cry when he was about 6 years old :(

Aww, lol. I am SO looking forward to it. My friend got kicked out of there for getting into a napkin throwing fight with a kid, ha. I am so looking forward to being verbally abused. :)

  • Have fun!
