Moving with a toddler?

If you've moved with a toddler did you do anything special to prepare them for the move or did u just pack up and go.

May be a dumb question but I'm just curious!

I prepare Alexis for everything we do - from dropoff at school, to doctor appointments, to regular plans for the day. Definitely talk to him about it...

We talked about it in advance and the girls were there while we packed. They had trouble adjusting and I finally figured out that it didn't feel like "home" yet, so I painted their room, unpacked all of their stuff, put their art on the walls and we never heard another word about the old apartment. Thank u for confirming I'm not over thinking this. Lol. He saw the apartment with us and we've told him we are going to live there one say soon but I know right now he doesn't fully get it.

We definitely talked about it. I also got a few books to help with the concepts. It definitely helped to fix up DS's room and we also made sure he knew that all of his clothes and toys were coming with us. We also changed daycares at the same time so it was a big change for him.
