Apple crisp

If anyone has a recipe please share. I tried to make it the other day and it was my grandma's recipe. I think my mom gave it to me wrong because it did not turn out good at all.

Re: Apple crisp

  • Here's my favorite:

    1 cup butter, melted
    2 cups brown sugar
    2 cups flour
    1 1/2 cups quick oats
    1 1/2 cups sugar
    4 tblsp cornstarch
    2 cups water
    2 tsp vanilla
6 cups apples, peeled and chopped

Combine first 4 ingredients.  Press 2/3 mixture in a 9x13 banking pan (not too firmly or it will stick).  Cover with apples.  Mix sugar and cornstarch in a saucepan and then add water.  Cook over low heat until thick and bubbly, stirring constantly.  When it starts to get thick and creamy, add the vanilla.  Cook a minute longer and then pour mixture over the apples.  Top with remaining crumb mixture.  Bake at 350 for 30 minutes!
