New Kitty Owner! :)
Hello Ladies!
DH & I finally caved and decided to adopt a cat from a local shelter. She is a black/grey tabby and completely adorable. The shelter named her Kiki, but we are waiting until we officially bring her home and see her personality before we decide if we'll keep it or not. She is about 1 year old.
This is our first cat and we are very excited. As a new pet/cat owner is there anything we need to know? Any tips/advice?

Congrats! You must post pictures when you bring her home.
I would suggest reading the FAQs in the green banner at the top of the page to start with. It covers a wide variety of topics, including food, litter, etc. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask!

i suggest reading the book think like a cat. i have had cats my whole life and still learn a lot from the author (i read her cat vs cat book and just started think like a cat). good luck!
