I went to petco yesterday since it was Sherlock's (estimated) first birthday and I wanted to get him a treat. They have a new aisle that is all good quality foods! I saw a few grain free options and some of the better brands you'll find in a bigger pet store like Wellness, Blue, Natural Balance, etc. I've been trying to get my mom to switch to higher quality food for her cats and now it's way easier for her to choose. Hooray!

Quincy and Dexter, new BFFs
I used to be kris216.
This.
Also, yes, they carry good foods, but they are almost always more expensive there than at an independently- owned pet boutique. And I'd rather support a locally-owned business.
I agree.
But I suppose if it gives someone the chance to feed a higher quality food than what they would pick up at the grocery store I can support that. :-)
Our petco doesn't carry small animals anymore. They have a sign on all their empty cages that says something to the fact that due to customer requests they stopped carrying small animals. I thought it was pretty awesome.
