Experience with Veuling Airlines?

We booked a one-way flight with them from Paris to Barcelona that was supposed to arrive at ~1:30pm local time and now I got an email that the flight was changed and supposed to land at ~7pm, not cool.

 It says I can contact them through their website, but I'm having issues locating where to do that.  Whenever I click on "send us a message" it keeps popping up with unhelpful instant responses.

 Any advice?  Should I suck it up and call them at .77E/min?

  • Hmm my friends and I never had issues with Vueling.  I actually think they are one of the better discount airlines in Europe. Very clean and don't nickle and dime you like, ahem, Ryan Air.

    That sucks about them changing the flight. I know my friends have been dealing a lot with this in the U.S. and it's pretty much a "you're out of luck thing".  Not sure how Vueling would handle it.

    Calling may be your best bet, but I would get a calling card before calling.  Who knows how long you may be on hold.

    Thanks; I have been on that site.  The instant message isn't a chat, but essentially populates a list of links based on the words in your message.  As of now, it looks like it's going to cost 78E for us to change our flight time.

    Good suggestion on the calling card. 

     Otherwise, is this something I could dispute with my credit card and try to get the original flight charges removed and then I could rebook the time I want?

  • Just as an FYI vueling is a notoriously awful airline for scheduling.  I worked in Amsterdam and frequently had to send people to Barcelona - without fail they would change their schedule or cancel a flight for no reason.

    As a heads up if you do use them and they end up cancelling your flight for no reason (or any other airline in the EU for that matter) you are Entitled to quite a bit of financial reimbursement.  We were flying Barcelona to rome on vueling and they cancelled our flight for no reason.  We ended up getting 18e a day per person per meal, 250e a person (the tickets were only like 90e).  It was awesome!
