If you have one of these devices, does it help?
I am have discovered I have a very small window between under and over eating. I wear a HRM while I work out and this really helps me with my calories in/out. I am considering a bodymedia or bug type device for more overall information.

I have one I bought 3 years ago to help with some post-surgical weight loss, and I continue to wear it because I'm addicted to the numbers. I have the display device that gives you up to the minute calorie burn (plus calories burned during a workout) and it's incredibly motivating. When you've burned only 900 calories by noon, it really makes you get up off your butt and move.
I had foot surgery 5 weeks ago and was strict no weight bearing for the first 3. The Fit let me see just exactly how many calories I was (or wasn't) burning and let me adjust my eating accordingly so I didn't gain any weight while I was confined to my bed for 3 weeks.
I just purchased the newest Bodyfit Media -- core. I have had it 2 weeks now but have not worn it very much. I find the computer program a bit bland. For more money I could purchase the Jillian Michael's on-line version but I did not do that.
I usually only wear the Bodyfit when I am exercising to see how many calories I burn. I was surprised to see I burn about 780 calories in a 60 minute outdoor mommy bootcamp class and the results were similar is caloric range for both days I did the class.
