I'm PA student and one of my rotations is going to be at Memorial Hermann in the TMC. I currently live in League City. What is the easiest way to get there? Take the metro or just drive to the med center and park there? I'm from Dallas so I don't know how the metro system works down here. Thanks!!
Re: Metro rail?
Well, you can't take the metro rail from league city because it doesn't go that far. If Metro *busses* go all the way to League City it would probably take you all day to get there!
So best bet, drive in and park. I think there are farther out park and ride lots where you can park and take the rail in, but you'd have to check the website. http://www.ridemetro.org/
There is a Park & Ride (where you park and take the appropriate bus into town) at Bay Area Blvd. and I-45 right off the freeway not an actual parking lot. It is at the intersection where Jerod's, La Madeline, World Market is, If that helps. There is another one further down Bay Area a little past Hwy 3 I think. That is an actual lot with a lot more busses so there could possibly be one that will take you to the Med Center.
There is a Metro Bus (I wanna say it's the 246) that will go from a park-n-ride lot at 45/Bay Area and drop you about a block from Memorial Hermann in the Med Center.
If they assign you parking in the med center, and you are working days, chances are you will be assigned to an off-site lot and take the rail to the MHH stop.
Please let me know if you need any help figuring it out! I used to ride it : )
The park & ride buses are nice commuter buses. It's a wonderful time to read, snooze, put on makeup, etc.

I completely forgot about these...silly as I rode one for almost a year. League City just seems like so far away to me I forget that there are park and rides down there!!
