On Monday, the doctor?s office gave my daughter a nebulizer (and prescription) for a viral respiratory bug. While the prescription says to use it every 4 hours, it didn?t indicate when we can/should stop. By today, she?s doing better and I think she?s ready to go back to daycare tomorrow (no fever, eating well, active) but every now and then sounds a little congested so I would like to continue using the nebulizer treatments.
The doctor is not in until tomorrow to confirm how long we need to continue treatments (I may call back and see if the partner can read the chart and provide feedback), but I wanted to call daycare to see if they will A) Administer the nebulizer treatment and if I need to provide a doctor?s note etc.
It?s our first time using a nebulizer and I?m not sure if using one means you?re too sick for school? or if this would be a normal request? Any feedback while I wait for the doctor?s call back?
