so if you don't want to read it, don't. lol I'll also list some good things at the end to remind myself to stop being such a whiner.
Insomnia. Can bite my ass. Four hours of sleep last night. No. Bad.
Finals. Ugh.
Feral cats. Trapping. Lots to do. I'm probably more stressed out about it than I need to be. Either we catch them, or they outsmart us. Why stress out about it? I don't know.
My own cats: Penny has decided to start pissing everywhere again. Which is super fuuuuucking fun. Mocha is having troubles with his allergies, so he's walking around sneezing like crazy. Can you give cats benedryl? The vet said since we know it's allergies we don't need to bring him in, but I didn't think to ask about over the counter meds. I'm about ready to shut him in the bathroom with the shower running. This freaking weather is not helping.
DH has been working ridiculous hours lately, so I've had no help at home. Not his fault, but still frustrating.
I am getting sick.
I know, I know, suck it up.
Positives: I did really well on my exam yesterday. The dogs are less crazy than normal. This quarter is almost over. My life is really not that hard in general.

Re: This is where I complain....
Do you normally have insomnia? Or only when very stressed? I haven't suffered from it, but 2 close friends do and they have to take something to help.I used to worry about it, but if you can't sleep with out it, then it's better to take it and sleep.
Oh, Penny.
I don't know if you can give a cat benadryl. Maybe someone else will know.
I'm glad you did well on your exam, though it is not surprising.
Chin up buttercup! Everything will work out - I'm sure you'll be 100% less stressed once the quarter is over!
Also, if you steam your cat in the bathroom (ha! Sounds like you're cooking the kitty!) I wonder if he'll come out all fluffy with no wrinkles...
One for you...one for me
.
Thanks.
I pretty much always have it. I have anxiety, so I always had an issue with waking up in the middle of the night and not being able to go back to sleep because I can't turn my brain off. I have Ambien that I can take, but I hate to take it if I have anything to do the next day because I feel like it makes me foggy. I mostly take it on the weekends to kind of catch up on sleep.
Luckily I don't have much planned today--I had a meeting with my adviser earlier and I have a meeting I have to go to for class, but then I'm done. I'll probably come home and go for a run. That helps me de-stress. Plus it keeps me from napping, which will just make it impossible to sleep tonight, too.

They could all stand to be a little fluffier.

I know I'm late to the thread, but Corgi, those look delicious!
ARO: hang in there. Life is so much tougher to deal with when you're juggling multiple projects; one of them will be completed soon, though!
And if you don't want to take the Ambien during the week so as not to be foggy the next day, can you take an OTC sleep aid? Will something like that help make you drowsy enough that you can fall asleep without feeling like a zombie in the morning?
