what a difference running with the stroller makes

On Monday I ran by myself and my run pace was 11:17 and today I ran the exact same route and distance and my pace was 13:47 and I worked hard and sweated my booty off.

  • I trained for a 10K last fall with both my kids in a double.  Their bodyweight was 80 lbs. never mind all the toys, snacks, crap, and the stroller itself.  When I got to race day (without them), I was *flying*.

    Haha!  I run with my kids during the week and then do one long run on Saturdays.  I feel like a different runner on Saturdays!

    Haha, same! OP, running with that stroller will train you better than anything. I CRUSHED my old PR after a couple months with that thing.

    Yes!  I did 4.5 easy today as a recovery run and my arms hurt more than anything else.

  • I'm thinking I need to borrow a jogging stroller and some children. I'm sure that is such a workout.

    I teach a stroller boot camp class and I always tell people at the gym they can borrow a stroller and some kids and join us LOL!

    Where at in Colorado are you? I'd be interested in some info on your stroller boot camp if you're near Denver.

    I teach at the Lafayette Rec. Center.  April through October (outdoors only) on T/Th from 9-10 am.
