NCR: anyone ever broken a toe?
Ugh, my daughter dropped my stainless steel water bottle on my toe and I think it might be broken. It hurt super bad when it happened.......now it hurts to walk and it is pretty black and blue. It is my second to littlest toe, so do I even need to go to the doctors? I assume if it is the big toe, it is a big deal, but thinking the little toes are less of a deal?
Ugh, I will probably call them but don't really have time for a trip to the doctors. I always thought there was nothing to be done for a broken toe, but I just googled it and they are saying it can be a big deal and to get the doctor.
Thanks for any info ladies.....
Re: NCR: anyone ever broken a toe?
Ditto pp - the only thing a dr can do is verify that it's broken and tape it to it's neighbor toe.
That does suck though. Dropping stuff on toes is probably the worst pain in the world, imo.
We make the rockin' world go 'round.
Thanks ladies.......I don't want to waste my time at the doctors, so I will just watch it. I can bend it most of the way, so it is probably not broken. Just looks ugly and hurts like hell!!
Yep, numerous times (former dancer).
There isn't anything they can do besides tape it.
TI, IUIs, IVF = c/ps and BFNs
Ditto pp's. I have broken many toes playing ice-hockey, and it HURTS. I've always been told there's nothing to do but tape it to a neighbor and stick it out :-/
I broke my foot once horseback riding (go figure).it was the bone on the outside of my (right) foot.
The hospital put my whole leg in a cast (ha), then I went to a specialist and he took it off and put me in one of those walking boots and I wore that until it got healed. Oh, and got lots of pain meds. Pretty much all they could do.
Hope your toe feels better soon!
