Hi all,
My fiancee and I don't know the Albany area well and are looking to buy a multifamily house. We found one that we really like in Cohoes, but we don't know anything about Cohoes at all. I would appreciate if anyone can give me information regarding the town and if certain areas are nicer or better than others. Thank you for all the help!
Re: Moving to Cohoes?
I used to work in Cohoes. It's a fairly small town, but it does have a small business area, although most of it is residential. There is a community center with a pool and gym (and a daycare)
The schools are decent.
There are a few restaurants: The Pig Pit (BBQ), Subway, Dunkin, Burger King, and a couple of pizza places. There's a Family Dollar, and a tattoo parlor, and a drug store.
I can't tell you which parts of town are good or not, as the only part of town I really know is the area near-ish the community center since I used to work at the daycare there.
