Selling things on Craigslist
I am about to sell an old tube TV on craigslist. I bought a flat screen and XH doesn't want the old TV as he has 2 already. It's in perfect condition with all the accessories, a Sony and 40 inches. I was thinking around $40-$50.
The buyer would have to come to my house because this TV is around 100 lbs.
What do you think of the price? Any advice to avoid scams?
Re: Selling things on Craigslist
I have 2 tube TVs to get rid of myself. I haven?t checked but I would look up the prices of tube TVs on Craigslist to see what others are selling theirs for.
To be honest, I see many on craigslist selling their entertainment center with the TV as a free bonus so it sounds like they are hard to sell.
Tell people that you will only take cash at pick-up. That weeds out all the scammers. For safety reasons please think about having another person home with you if you let a stranger in.

Agreed. Cash only, pick up only. Have a friend at home with you. If you can, keep it in the garage so people don't have to come into your house.
All of this. I recently sold two of these on craigslist! In my area, I got $20 for a 21" and $40 for a 27"
