First Aid courses

I'm not the handiest with a band-aid.  And with an accident prone 3 year old, I'd like to learn more so I can at least assess the situation better.  Any ideas on where to look locally for these?  At this rate, I may need CPR as well, but only if I can do it to myself, for the heart attack my kids give me.

Re: First Aid courses

  • Local hospitals or the American Red Cross.  I know here in Ames MGMC offers free non-certificate programs for those that are interested.
  • Go to redcross.org and you should be able to find a class.

FYI- It'll take about a full day to get certified. I took mine last May. And it's about $60
