Talk to me about sinus infections

I've never had one before.  But, I've been sick for two weeks and nothing seems to be working.  The pain is all around my eyes.  And it feels like I have my fingers in my ears pressing down.  (sounds weird, but the only way I can describe it).  This sucks and I've tried to battle through it, but I think I need to cave and go to the dr. tomorrow.

one way for me to know is if I bend over and try to put my head between my knees, if my head feels like it is going to explode and the pressure is too much- off to the doctor I go- also, I find a little nasal spray and saline rinses in my nostrils is all that really works for me- I only use it when completely stuffed and it really helps.

Definitely sounds like a sinus infection. Hope you feel better soon

They suck!

I got my first one two weeks ago (along with bronchitis - super fun) and after a 7 day course of antibiotics I started feeling better then WHAM it started up again worse then ever. So now I'm on more antibiotics plus a steroid. My head, ears, throat, face, nose, etc. all HURT and I have so much pressure. They really do hurt, if you think you have one I'd head to the dr.

def head to the doc.  I went last week after feeling like that for 2 weeks and I was so mad I didnt go earlier.  I felt so much better after a few days and I was mad that I suffered for 2 weeks.  it sucks, I hope you feel better soon.

go...if it hurts to bend your in bad shape. infectipns need rx. they will either give you a zpack or asugmentim. and yes saline sprays or netti pots help. feel nbetter

I can not even fathom never having a sinus infection.....I have had one since Dec.that I cant shake.  The sooner you get them addressed the faster and easier they are to get rid of. I would call tomorrow first thing. Also a decongestant will work to get your ears cleared up too.

Absolutely positively heading to the dr. today.  The pain in my head last night was God-awful.  I was up from like 2:30 - 4:30 with it.  I wanted to die the pressure was so bad.

Ive bern living on Mucinex D and Afrin for severe congestion. You can and should use them while on whatever antibiotics you get. At least the Mucinex if nothing else.
