Prayer request for my mom...

I can't believe it's been a year today since my dad passed. It feels like he's been gone for 100 years. I have to say, today is a little rougher than Christmas. I'm more worried about my mom today than anything, so if you could keep her in your prayers today that would be greatly appreciated! :-)

I will definitely keep her in my T&Ps today especially. It does get easier to cope with, though missing the person never seems to go away. Tomorrow it will be 7 years that my mom passed and I know it has been hard for my dad so I can imagine this first year is probably the hardest for your mom. I imagine you're planning on doing something but definitely reach out to her, go out to dinner or have her over to keep her company.

Yes, we're going to church tonight. They always have mass on the 1st anniversary of parishoners' death. Even though my dad wasn't Catholic, my mom is a very active member of the church so they'll do anything for her.
T&P for your family as well, for your mom's anniversary tomorrow.

Cindy I'm glad the church is giving back to her since she's so active. Thats really great of them to be there for her. And thanks to all for thoughts to me! I will be with Brenna tomorrow evening and Saturday, and my family on Sunday so that will be nice.

She's so lucky to have such wonderful friends from church. Her best friend (a neighbor around the block) passed away 3 months to the day after my dad so it was a rough year for her but she has become really good friends with several of the other volunteer ladies from church. A couple of them are also widowed so they make for a great support group in addition to becoming some of her best friends as well.
