It's Thursday, not Wednesday like I thought this morning. Woohoo!
Re: AW Thursday...
After wondering around looking for clothes to wear this morning, I tried to put on a second bra. I might need help.
My brother has agreed to come repair Bill's attempt at painting our hall bath and help me assemble Ikea furniture this Sunday. Plus he may be making his spaghetti sauce or his lasagna. I can't wait to taste it!
Also, this weekend is the school's male "pageant". Two of my students are in it again this year. One was the 1st runner up last year and the other was part of the top 5. They're taking it so seriously that it's cute.
Bill is going back to Vegas next week and won't be home until after I'm off to Houston. So, even though I know Angie went way longer, I'm sad that I won't see Bill from Monday through Sunday. Boo. And, I'll also have to leave my car at school over the weekend.
Jaymi - I thought the same thing this morning.
Julie - we had a similar male pageant at our High school. My cousin actually was a runner up or won, I can't remember anymore. Any time away from your sweetie can feel long!
I don't really have anything. We are driving to Houston early Saturday and staying over night. It'll be a girl's trip and I hope it is as fun as my mind has made it out to be.

Hi ladies, just wanted to drop in a say Hi!
I'm going to see Joyce Meyer tonight in Arlington and I'm pretty excited. It's a weekend conference, but I'm busy so tonight it is!
Also, I know the girl on McG blog today. We were friends in middle school and it's really cool to see her journey on a favorite photography blog! Can't wait to see pics from Aruba!
Julie - stay busy! That's my best advice. It will make the time go faster, and I am less likely to be mopey if I'm busy.
J grilled filet mignon last night. He got them cut at the meat counter at Kroger, and it was definitely one of the best steaks I've ever had. Just the right amount of fat and pinkness and flavor... mmmm, it was a great dinner. He also sauteed green beans to go with, and Idk how he seasoned them, but they complimented the steak flavor so well. He also got me a beautiful bouquet of flowers - stargazer lillies, pink alstros, and pink roses (a few different kinds mixed in). And a sweet card, which is not his usual but he knows I like sweet cards. He was going to get me a new printer but his brother told him you aren't supposed to get things you both "need" as gifts for the other person. Boys have the strangest logic.
Today, we're going to III Forks for a business-training lunch thing, and then I'm working from home after that. I'm pretty excited, because I only have about 2 hours left in the office!
My world just keeps getting smaller & smaller... and I love it!
Pam & Mike are so sweet... we're way excited to get to go with them to Aruba!
I've heard this to be a normal phrase for men.

Two bras are better than none, Julie.
I made it through day 1 of the fast; the only 'cheating' I did was green tea and peppermint tea but I'll be partaking in that every day. I had a killer f'ing headache (yes, it deserves the 'f'ing) from last night before supper and I'm still dealing with it; I think it was a tension headache because the pain just shoots to high heaven every time I move my neck. I don't know if it has to do with the fast (no caffeine and no sugar) or what. I do need to eat more throughout the day so eating all of my snacks no matter how full I am is my goal today.
One of our ideas when we bought our house was to rent out a room or 2 and while we have never pursued anyone at all or placed an ad, we have 2 possibilities for Fall from family members. We just need to figure out what we want to charge and the ads on craigslist are all over the place.
True, Jaymi, but I had hooked it and was getting ready to pull it up and was like "Why won't this bra fit?"
I called a parent yesterday and got the step-father. He gave me mom's cell number and I forgot to take it home with me so I'll be calling her in a few minutes. Her son came to class this morning, didn't talk to me about the tests and didn't do today's assignment or turn in yesterday's assignment. His grade is now below 50. What gets me is that he doesn't really need my class to graduate. So long as he passes government, economics and his English class, he will graduate.
Chelsea,
I'm very jealous that you guys are going to Aruba.
Ugh, first break I have had all day!
Angie--that sounds like a lovely B-day!
Deepthi--yay for girls' trips!
Jaymi--I know when Mel tried cutting out sugar, she got severe headaches. So yeah, I am sure that has something to do with it.
Ugh, I need to find some lunch!

It was slower than molasses in winter most of the day and then it wouldn't even load.
It's just funny that when I gave up sugar last year for 2 weeks, I had no problems at all. If it is the sugar, I just hope that this will not be a daily thing otherwise I don't think I can handle it.
The TN is always wonky for me but I have mostly just been crazy busy today. I am pooped and it's only 4:30.
Jaymi, the headaches were part of why Mel quit. Not the only reason, but partly.
Is anyone here doing juicing? I know Wendi is--I can't decide if I want to try it or if I'll shell out all this money on a juicer just for it to grace the inside of my kitchen cabinet.

Yes, DH and I juice. We used to do it a LOT, but now do it maybe once a week. I really really REALLY love our juicer. The only thing is that it is a pain to clean - you're supposed to drink the juice right away so you can't really make a bunch in advance.
It does sit in our cupboard a lot, but it has proven to be very useful. We also juice potatoes/veggies to make a soup base that doesn't have all the sodium normal broth would have.
