Need party rental help

Can someone tell me how many glasses I should rent for a party of 70 people?  I will need glassware for wine, soda and beer. Should I get wine glasses and regular glasses? Or just have the beer from the bottle? Soda and water can go in the wine glasses.

 Thanks!

Re: Need party rental help

  • How fancy of a party, if you want the best of the best then go ahead and rent

If not, do bottles of beer, clear hard plastic tumbler for soda (Chinet?) and go to Ikea...they have 6 wine glasses for 4.99. I would get 4 sets of red, 4 sets of white. Have a box you can pack them in and pull out for parties

  • This is probably too late to be of help to you.

Because of the quantity you're going to get into, I wouldn't buy.  The party rental place will be able to give you a count per hour; I'm sorry I don't know for certain.  I think it's 1 or 2 glasses per person per hour.  You're looking at over 200 glasses.  Bottled beer is easier, but may not be cheaper - you'll need to talk to vendors to check the keg price + glasses vs. bottles.
