Colorado weather never ceases to amaze me, and I've lived here my whole life.
The wind last night was rattling around in our attic like nothing I have ever heard before. This morning at our house in Lakewood we had 4-6" and it was coming down heavy when I left. The drive to 6th ave was pretty icy, then once I hit Sheridan on 6th, the skies cleared and I could see for miles. I could almost see the sun at work downtown when I got here.
I've encountered rain storms like that where it's really localized heavy rain, but not snowstorms. CRAZY!

Really? Were not far from you guys (120th and hwy85) and we have about an inch on our driveway and our roads are definitely wet, not icy, just wet. Our house faces North so we always see the accumulation on our driveway. The houses that face South didn't have any snow on their driveways, but there was a definitely about an inch on their yards.

A good 8 inches plus the WORST roads I have ever encountered! We're talking a good inch of solid ice. I saw tons of cars go off the road and several slide through red lights because they couldn't stop (which was mostly their fault for going way too fast for the conditions!). It was terrible. Conditions seem to be lightening up a lot now though it's still snowing.
What's even weirder is that Katie is in between you and me, and I got snow, too!
