No one? Ok, I'll start it.
Let me preface by saying I hate this seasn. REALLY hate his season. However, I keep watching it. I can't stop. It's like I'm programmed to watch channel 57 every Wednesday at 9.
That being said - last nights quickfire was a joke. Again. Lets cook a dish with another person, but we're going to switch after 10 minutes, and you can't communicate with your partner about the direction of the dish!
Really? The episode before the final and we're still doing these sorts of challenges? JesusChrist.
I think everyone knew that either Lindsay or Sarah would go home last night, I personally didn't care which one. They're both awful. So Sarah and Paul in the final. YAWN. Everyone knows how this is going to end.
I'm glad next episode is the final so we can put this season behind us. Hopefully TC redeems themselves next season or I might seriously have to consider finding a new show for Wednesday nights.
Thoughts?
Re: Top Chef 02-22 Soilers
I was going to start a thread once I had a hot second, but you beat me to it and basically said everything I was going to say. I hope they are testing the waters with these ridiculous challenges and hopefully they will never do them again.
I feel like they are drawing this out way too much. They should have made last night it and cut 2. Who cares at this point. I am at least glad Paul is in the finale and am rooting for him, but I have a feeling the other will win in which I will probably never watch the show again.
They tried to do too much so far. First they had the picking of who will make it, which was alright. Then last chance kitchen, which really didn't matter. No matter who won that wasn't going to make it to the final two, they got eliminated for a reason.
Then they rode bikes, beat some ice, shot guns, and other various of things that was not cooking.
Next season they better stick to cooking. I enjoy when they cook with random things like vending machine food.. it's food. Not guns, and other sport like things.
Still for team Paul. Let's hope that Sarah has an awful team to help her..
Team Paul!
Besides the fact that I hated the contestants and all the Texas themed challenges I think the most annoying thing has been how long they are dragging it out. Reminds me of American Idol where they have to show all the auditions, then all of hollywood...just goes on and on.
Last night's quickfire was just ridiculous! You get a master chef to start your dish and basically you just follow along with what they plan? At least in the finals where they might have a master chef help them the purpose is to act as a sous chef and follow the contestants orders.
I also didn't like that the quickfire was worth $20,000 and the elimnation winner won a trip - is this the first time they've done that in the finals? Anyone remember? Just made me think you are here to win Top Chef not a Costa Rican travel pack!
Disappointed with this season and I despise Sarah!!
Last night made me want Top Chef Masters to come back.
Hearing all of their talk about how good friends the three of them have become...I am even more glad that Beverly is gone. I doubt even Paul would warm up to her.
I agree - - I miss Top Chef Masters! I am on Team Paul.
I think they did a lot of Texas challenges b/c they made the cities they filmed in pay a fee to be "featured." I think it was $100K.
