Whats your "go to" clothing store?

I used to love NY&Co.  Not so much anymore.  But I am not a good shopper.  Once I hit a 20 lb loss I know I am going to need some new things.
Where in world would you like me to ship you? image My boys - I am so screwed in about 7 years. What's the difference between a hockey mom and a pitbull? LIPSTICK !

Re: Whats your "go to" clothing store?

  • Mine vary.  It used to be Loft and Banana Republic.  Now I spend less on clothes, so usually go to Kohl's or JC Penney.  Old Navy for basics, like tees, cute tops.  I typically buy tops though, not as many bottoms since I haven't had to replace what I had.

  • I usually do well at Gap because they tend to have online sales pretty frequently.  Especially good for basics.  I tend to shop at department stores though for the variety.
  • I need to lose some more weight but I'm hoping to get back to Ann Taylor Loft and NY&Co. sometime soon. You have no idea how excited I was when I tried on my NY&Co. pants and they fit!

These days I also like JC Penneys. They are hit or miss for me, though. Sometimes I find a lot of tops I like and sometimes I don't. I bought all my suits there, though, as separates.

  • Well for me it's a bit different than most... I do not need dress clothes for work. I work a very very casual family run store. We have a polo shirt with a logo that is required but other than that it's pretty much almost anything goes... with the only exception being flip flops or sandals so nothing heavy falls on your foot.  And I shop in a "teeny bopper" store that only has i think 2 locations in NJ called The Garage they are in Woodbridge Mall. I do ocasionally like Deb in Brunswick Square Mall when we are down there. I will sometimes go into NY & Co....but not that often. I have also had some luck at this new store called Square One ( in woodbridge I think) I have alsways been a jeans and sneakers person I guess that growing up in the 70's and 80's kinda did that to me plus never working the coporate enviorment didn't help I hate getting dressed up....unless it's a costume.

  • I like the Gap and AT Loft for staples. Bloomingdales and Anthropologie for more fun pieces.

  • Ann Taylor has been having ca-ray-z sales lately, often 40% off of everything so I've purchased a lot there lately.

I still prefer Banana Republic for dress pants.  They fit me best and I'll pay more for them because I have them for years and years.

I always score something fun at ON and Target has had some cute stuff lately for tops.

  • Lately it's been Loft....Banana Republic & INC (Macys)

  • I like Ann taylor Loft.  I also LOVE places like Annie Sez, Loehmans, and Nordstrom Off The Rack.  I sometimes will get a few things in NY and Co but don't love the quality.  Recently they opened The Limited in the mall near me and I liked their stuff too..

  • for the last year it's been anywhere cheap and only off of the clearance rack. going through so many sizes has eaten up so much $$$. However, I do love most of the stores listed above. I just won't spend the $ now.

  • ATLoft or Ann Taylor, Banana Republic

Anthropologie or Urban Outfitters, a mix!

    And ON for pieces.

  • Loft, Macy's, Banana & Gap outlet and Kohls.
**the new version of the nest ate my pictures and I can't get them back again***
  • Usually Loehmann's. I like Ann Taylor and Ann Taylor Loft as well. Love Boden and Anthropologie, but those are not my "go to" stores since they are pricier.

  • Anthropologie & Madewell are my go to favorites.  I also do well at Gap & ON for basics and cheaper SAHM gear.
  • Anything at the outlets since its right by my office, lol! Lately its been Banana & Loft. I used to love the Limited & the Express but I never get to the mall anymore. Department stores drive me crazy cause I never know where to shop--Misses is too big, juniors are too sluty, and petites is too short!

  • I have many:  NY&Company, Old Navy, Target. Also I have good luck at TJ Maxx and Marshalls as well.  Believe it or not I often find stuff at Costco too!

  • I have been doing most of my shopping at the Bergen Town Center ever since it was redone.

I shop at Norstrom Rack, Bloomingdales Outlet, Saks off 5th and Century 21.

I also love the Macy INC stuff. I will also check Annie Sez and Lohmanns for discounts on BCBG, To the Max and Max and Cleo stuff since I love the Max Azria stuff.

  • Most of my stuff lately is from target or Marshalls.  For dress pants though, I will only buy the columnist pants from Express- nothing else fits right!

  • Depends where I am. Express if I'm in the regular mall. I check out Loft but it's really NMS. But mostly Loehmanns, Century 21, Saks Off Fifth, Nordstrom Rack.
  • I actually hate shopping for myself in-store. Not sure why! Anyhow, right after the holidays I ordered a bunch of clothes from Land's End clearance. I got some amazingly fantastic deals...i.e. tees & pants for under $10. Plus, you can return anything at anytime if you are not satisfied. I am short and have a hard time finding pants that are short enough (even with petite) but Land's End petite work really well for me (I know they have talls too for the tall gals!).

You will forever be my best friend. I can almost feel our hugs. I will ensure everyone will know (now and in the future) what a genuine, kind, loving person you were...I already miss your laughter and our daily conversations. I love you, Samantha. May 20, 1983- February 20, 2012
