Does anyone go to "happy hour"?

 Like, regularly?

DH has a buddy that goes almost every day (he's a regular at this restaurant all the time, regardless) so every now and then he asks DH to join him.  But he's the only "happy hour" attendee that I know of!

Re: Does anyone go to "happy hour"?

  • Pre babies, both DH and I were regular happy hourers.  On Tuesdays I would go with my friends (to a margarita happy hour) and he with his (to a mug night), on Thursdays we'd happy hour together with some couples.  We were so close with the bartender she invited us all to her wedding.

Now he goes on Thursdays with his buddies and I go about once a month.

  • We go to happy hour but not regularly. You can eat/ drink for really cheap. We went on Sunday to a fairly nice place and both had beers and shared appetizers for $20.

  • We get very few who come specifically for happy hour. They are often happy to get the deals, but didn't come specifically for it.

As for regulars, well we have quite a few of those and they are the every day, sometimes twice. To the point that they know now to tell me if they won't be in on my shift so I don't worry about them...

  • In my (much) younger years I used to go nearly every night after work with a whole group from work.  God that was good times.
  • We used to do happy hour a lot.  $2 drinks and $5 apps?  Hit happy hour, go to a cyclones game (it used to be $12 tickets and $1 beer), and generally be drunk happy idiots.  Not so much anymore.  I do miss it.  We weren't everyday people, but once or twice a month was awesome.

  • In my younger and crazier days, we'd go maybe twice a week.  Most likely Friday night and a "wing" night during the week at a local place for wings and pitchers of beer - cheap.

Now, I might go once or twice a year if I'm lucky.

  • Before my first pregnancy, DH and I used to go every Friday with all the teachers.  Longneck beers were a buck a piece and appetizers were equally cheap.  We could drink, socialize, play pool and have dinner for a grand total of about $20.  I miss it.

  • MA doesn't allow restaurants/bars to discount alcohol during certain times of the day, so no happy hour here.

  • We used to go a lot more, but Tuesday nights is dollar margarita (and trust me 2 is all that is needed) and dollar taco night.  I prefer places that have always low prices, so its not too common for us to go somewhere for a specific happy hour.
  • Not regularly but we go every now and then with DH's work friends. Sometimes I'll go w/ my boss (especially if he's buying).

  • I used to be a very regularly happy hourers in my single days.

Now, DH and I meet up once or twice a month with friends (or just by ourselves) for HH.

yep, us too. We occasionally go to Thursday $2 margarita night. We rarely drink on weeknights (but we make up for it on the weekends:). I'm lame and like to go to the gym after work!

  • We don't go out during the week very often (maybe once a month?), but this is making me really want to hit up happy hour tonight. Too bad I have work to do and a date with my running buddy. Perhaps tomorrow.

  • Nope and I don't really know why. DH and I work in a town with a real cute downtown area that's always poppin. I think we are just more the homebody type. That and it takes us an hour to get home, so we just want to hit the road.
