Toddler pushing buttons!!! (vent)

Literally pushing buttons all over the house!  Emma has been really sick with a headcold and cough this week so I'm completely past the point of thinking clearly and providing a learning environment for her complete with discipline and such so...  right now she's entertaining herself by turning the TV on and off over and over and over and over and over...  and yesterday she figured out how to push the button on our trash can so she can open it herself and throw anything she wants in there (which means toys, my wallet, diapers, books, her sippy cup...).  AND she can now reach doorknobs and can LOCK the bathroom door with her inside the bathroom!!!  Time to do more childproofing and furniture rearranging...  I need a break!!!

  • I hear ya on being tired and pregnant with a curious toddler these days. I have no patience! Big props to you for SAH.
  • I've got nothing but ((hugs)). Ash did and does the same stuff - it makes me stabby. Hang in there, mama, you are doing GREAT.

No more baby siggie pics. Boo.

  • Thanks ladies.  Her morning nap was 30 minutes long and I can't for the life of me get her down for another nap!  She needs more sleep to get healthy but I have no more patience...  having anxiety about it too which is no fun.  I'm thinking it's time to get bundled up and take the dog for a walk.  Even if she doesn't fall asleep in the stroller (which she hasn't in 6 months at least), it will give me a break from the whining...

    Ugh.....

Thank God I got a sub gig for tomorrow and my mother will watch her all day!  I can't handle another day of doing this allbymyselfalldaylongohmygoshi'mgoingtopokemyeyeout!!!

  • We've been watching incredibly way too much tv here. I feel like crap and it takes all I have to feed her and change diapers some days. Luckily she likes books so we've been reading a lot to. Our house is also a wreck from basement construction. I can't wait til it's done and we can move all of the toys and play things down there and she has free reign! Hope your DD feels better soon!
