Have we talked about this here before? People nominate military members deployed in a war zone and then teams make baked goods and care packages and send them along.

The new round just started, so if you want to do something awesome, go sign up to bake for the troops.

Also, I know a few of you have deployed friends/family - you can nominate them to recieve baked goodies in a future round in the "contact us" section. (Or, maybe we could put together a Nestie team for the next round and send to someone a Nestie knows?)

I'm a part of this organization Bc I'm also a part of "soldiers angels". My cousin is set to come home soon but I don't mind putting together a group to send to someone else. Maybe katie's brother?

I will participate if we do a nestie one.  If not, I will just stick to sending Rusty's cousin stuff when he deploys in April.

I haven't seen this before, but LOVE this idea! I'm happy to bake for anyone, but would love to do a Nestie team for my brother and/or anyone else! Thanks for posting this!

I have done it twice. I just joined random teams but enjoyed it. I got thank you letters from both of them along with multiple e-mails from one.

I've never heard of this...thanks for sharing. I'd love to do a Nestie team of our own if other people are interested.

So cool story. When my coworker's daughter turned 10 (maybe younger?) she wanted a "cookie" party. So they invited all her friends over to bake cookies. They made so many that they ended up sending a bunch overseas. Now she's a teenager and it is a huge event. They invite anyone and everyone and send hundreds of dozens of cookies to the troops.
