Please help! Half & Half in Soup?

I'm making potato soup...I think I added the cream too soon- the potatoes were not cooked all the way and I added the cream! Dang!

Can I still simmer the soup until the potatoes get tender, or is it ruined?

Thank for the help ladies, I appreciate it!

Re: Please help! Half & Half in Soup?

  • Yes. The potatoes will just soften. You can even cut them if the chunks are very big. Are you blending the soup later?

I don't think this is a disaster. It's going to taste great.

My darling daughter just turned 4 years old.
  • Thank you, Livin!

I was afraid it might curdle or something, since it was cream.  It did turn out great, thanks for your input!
