one of my people on FB posted this:

I was raised!!!! I didnt just grow up. I was taught to speak when I enter a room, say please & thank you, to have respect for my elders, to get up off my lazy butt and let the elder in the room have my chair, say yes sir and no sir, lend a helping hand to those in need, hold the door for the person behind me, say exuse me when its needed, & to love people for who they are, not for what I can get from them! I was also taught to treat people the way I want to be treated! If you were raised this way too, re-post this. Sadly, many wont because they weren't and it shows!!!!

 

I very badly want to reply with my grandmother's wisdom, "You raise chickens, you rear children." lol. Also, holy run on sentence, you were obviously not taught sentence structure.

I regularly ignore any FB status that ends with "...repost this, " and something to the effect of how many people won't and why. I don't prove myself by re-posting FB statuses thank you very much.

I can't stand all the stupid things on Facebook.  Especially ones that require you to repost to prove you aren't a soulless, worthless human being.  

I hate the game thing even more though, like the bra color and stuff.  I got so sick of them last time that I made a snarky status about doing something of use for breast cancer and made a post about early detection or something.

I like these ones just as much as the "I rode my bike without a helmet, rode in the car without my seat belt, played outside after the streetlights came on, ate lead paint, etc., and I turned out fine.  We're turning our kids into pansies these days."  Which is to say, not at all.

My new FB annoyance is all of the "what my friends think I do, what my mom thinks I do..."  pictures.  The first one I saw was kinda funny, then it just became overkill.

I graduate nursing school in two months and I think some of the people in my class are complete idiots and should have to repeat nursing school. I wish I had the authority to fail them and I'm terrified that they will be responsible for people's lives. Sorry, I'm an impatient b!tch with students who are about to graduate and don't know what they're doing.
