1st birthdays are dangerous around here!
On O's first birthday,we had to put one of our cats down.
Today on G&Ms first birthday, my DH was trying to put on a shirt and broke a lightbulb with his wrist, severing two of his extensor tendons. Quick ER trip for some stitches in the am, then surgery in the afternoon to repair the tendons.
Too much!
Happy to report, though, that we have all survived a rough first year with twins AND survived the day of surgery.
Hopefully we'll survive the next 3 months of him in a splint and not able to use one arm!
Happy Birthday G&M! Hope your next one is a little more normal!
Re: 1st birthdays are dangerous around here!
I was just thinking of you, and hoping that the rest of your day was less chaotic. I am glad that surgery went well, and I hope his recovery is as quick and painless as possible.
Happy Birthday, Grant and Marshall! But, more importantly, congrats to you and your DH for surviving the first sleepless year!

Yikes! That's not the way to start a birthday.
Although, after making it through a year with twins, an ER visit is the icing on that cake?
I hope next year (and the next birthdays) are better.
