Can/Should I test?

So, my period is due to start any second, I think.

I'm pretty sure because 1. It's the usual start time 2. I am breaking out 3. I am gassy - all normal for me week before my period signs.

SO that begs the question, should I even bother testing if all the period signs are there? And two, let's say I O'd sometime around the 13th, when could I test?

ETA: Help me understand my body, please, as a woman.

I am not a charter, temper, etc, I'm lucky to remember to draw my little flower shape on my calendar noting the day I start my period.

I just mapped all my start dates on the calendar, since July they are all exactly 27 days apart - except Nov and Jan where it was 21 days.

If you and your hubs have been having all the sex, I would test now.  Aren't early pregnancy signs a lot like period signs anyway?  Idk, every woman is different.  Do you remember how you felt with Z?

We had lots of sex the week of Z's birthday, which in theory should have been my most fertile time.

I don't remember how I felt with Z because I was the dumb, naive girl who didn't know she was pregnant until she was already 6 or 7 weeks along. Er -

Maybe I shouldn't procreate.

I'd test just given the length of your many recent cycles.   If it's negative, there are many reasons why it could be but, given your history of 27 or shorter day cycles - - if it's going to be + very likely it is by now.

That and I like to pee on things and think you should too.

If you O'd on the 13th, you should test on Monday (14 days after O).  If you don't chart/temp/whatever, why do you think you O'd on the 13th?  Cervical mucus that looked like an egg white?  Or just based on dates of your period or dates you did the deed?

Most women have a 13 to 14 day luteal phase, which is the amount of time from when you O to when your period starts.  The difference in cycles tends to be in the time from when your period starts to when you O.

So technically, you should wait.  But if you have a Dollar Store test, I would totally POAS.  Of course, I was a POASalohic.  I just wouldn't use the expensive test yet.

Ditto this! Let us know what you decide to do - I would totally take a cheapie test now, it doesn't hurt anything:)

FWIW, my dollar tree test was negative, but my digital test was positive...so you may not want to get a negative test and then drink a six pack...not that I know anyone who would ever actually do that.....*whistles nonchalantly*

If you can wait that long, I would use FMU.

FWIW, my dollar tree test was negative, but my digital test was positive...so you may not want to get a negative test and then drink a six pack...not that I know anyone who would ever actually do that.....*whistles nonchalantly*

If you can wait that long, I would use FMU.

LMAO! I almost wish this would've happend to me. I tested with a $ Tree test at 10 dpo and got a positive and that ended my drinking days. :-(

Do it! I got a positive at 10 DPO both times, so IF you O'd on the 13th, you'd be 11 DPO today.
