i'm being a total AW but I'm proud
i started my diet 6 weeks ago. I'm down 17.5 lbs!! that's half way to my goal! yay me
i've been counting calories using an app called Lose It!, exercise in some way daily and drinking tons more water and little to no juice/soda. I've also been ending my day with an apple or a cup of strawberries instead of dessert, and cut out all bread except whole wheat sandwich thins.

I loved that app, Lose It. It was very eye opening to realize exactly how much I was consuming when I thought I was being healthy and making good choices.

i dont have a smart phone either! i use the app on my nook tablet and you can use the loseit.com website for free too. love love it.
i eat all day long, just better choices and smaller quantities. it all varies, but i usually start my day with coffee - black, (that was an adjustment but i don't miss the cream and sugar that much) 1 cup of strawberries and 1/2 cup yogurt, then at 10ish i have a snack of 100 calories or less - usually a cereal bar or an apple, then lunch is either a lean cuisine meal or a sandwich thin toasted with an egg white scrambled with spinach/ salad with dressing on the side/ low-calorie soup.
i snack twice during the afternoon plus another cup of coffee, i try to stick to almonds, baby cut carrots, or fruit, but sometimes i'll eat something sweet like a fiber one brownie, 100 calorie pack of cookies, pudding..
dinner is usually my plate filled with steamed veggies and either baked fish or chicken. i've only had red meat on occasion since my style of cooking it adds a lot of calories. i always have fruit as dessert, lite cool whip is great as a topping for pretty much any type of fruit. i drink lots of water.
if i only stuck to eating 3 meals a day i would cheat a whole lot or stuff myself at each meal instead of watching my portions.
I'm so proud of you! You're an inspiration! I just restarted the whole calorie counting thing and I make these really healthy smoothies everyday.
OF COURSE Jay decides to go to Cold Stone Creamery tonight. I told him not to get any for me but it will be hard to not polish of Elizabeth's since I know she won't finish!

Thats good to know mh has a nook he doesnt use anymore so maybe i can take it off that. I dont drink coffee but can up my water intake. I will also try to buy more fruit and do the lite cool whip for dessert as you suggest. I started last night with blackberries and coolwhip and it was good!
Your loss inspired me so Im starting this now!! Cant keep putting it off!
