Need quick advice

My best friend's cat just died. It was a siamese. I want to send her a siamese stuffed cat (along with some flowers) to remember the cat but do you think its going to be a sad reminder?

  • I don't know; is she a stuffed animal person?

I always make a donation to a rescue in memory of my friends' pets.  Like, a friend lost her cat, so I sponsored a cat at Best Friends.  And our friends lost their Lab, so we donated to a Lab rescue.  Same thing with a friend's schnauzer and my aunt's Boston terrier.

  • Oh the donation is a great idea!

Just saw a "breathing sleeping cat" for sale.. Weird. you put a battery in and the cats chest moves up and down. Looks like a real cat sleeping.

Thank you! I am quite sad myself. I got to play with the cat while visiting. It was a really sweet cat. Poor thing got run over.

  • You're sweet to acknowledge her loss.  I'm not a stuffed animals kind of person, but when my dog died I really appreciated getting a card from a friend, and another friend made a donation to the rescue where we got our dog.  It meant a lot, particularly because it came from two people who were not super-close friends.
  • I agree that the acknowledgement is very sweet.  Not sure about the stuffed animal part unless you know she likes stuffed animals.  I think flowers and a card would be really nice.
