Talk to me about your mattress. How do you like it (and how long have you had it)? Is it really as comfortable as they say, and can you really not feel when your partner tosses and turns in bed?
Which specific type of Tempurpedic bed did you get (there are so many!) and do you feel it was worth the price?
Anything in particular you think we should know about before we start shopping around for one of these?
Re: Tempurpedic people
Some of my closest friend have one....just being blunt here: their biggest complaint is that it sucks to have sex on...they say there is no give and push, just sink and hold.
Besides that they like it.
Since then friends who have asked about them (everyone seems to ask I think it is because they are such expensive mattresses), I have mentioned this to them and they often end up buying them and then come back to me and say..."you friends were right."
Some people that is a big issue some people not. So perhaps something to consider?

I own a Tempurpedic, have had it about 2 years and it is glorious!
We've had no problems having sex on it.
You really don't feel your partner moving around, except for the tugging of the blankets.
I adore my mattress!
The only thing to consider is that when you travel and sleep in hotel beds or at other people's houses, you are going to get a dreadful night of sleep because the Tempurpedic has such a drastically different feel from a regular mattress AND you suddenly can feel every.single.move that your partner makes.
Also, keep in mind that there are different degrees of firmness with Tempurpedic mattresses. (That might be why some of PKW's friends report trouble... their mattresses are super soft, whereas our mattress is on the firmer side.)
Hope that helps!
Thanks! That's all very good to know. I'm a little overwhelmed by all the options. Think we need to go to a brick-and-mortar bed store and talk to them about the different types of Tempurpedics. And for the record, blanket-pulling is not a problem in our house since we use different blankets Not only do we not share blankets well, but I like a down comforter pretty much year-round and he sleeps with practically nothing.
I have one and I think it's ok. We've had it almost 2 years. The way that I described the sex thing when we first got it was like riding a bike in in the wrong gear. You pedal and pedal but don't get anywhere-having no spring back does that. But I got used to it and have no problems now. They sleep really hot which is my issue with it-sometimes my body gets so hot against the mattress that when I move it feels like my skin in sunburned-not the painful burn part but the heat on your skin. We have the cloud supreme. My husband loves it though. And yes I can feel him if snaky ales his leg but not getting in and out of the bed much.
That one had me going: , thanks for the clarification. I thought Snaky was your dog or something.
Ha, thanks for clarifying I usually run cold so I don't think I'd have the problem with feeling too hot sleeping on it. DH has slept on one a bunch of times at a hotel he used to stay at for work, and loves them, so I'm the one who really has to decide if it's the right bed for us or not.
I should get a commission for how many times I've sung the praises of Tempur-Pedic on The Nest alone. DH and I still talk about how much we love our bed and we've had it for 6+ years. We have several friends who also own it and describe it as the best money they've ever spent.
I can recommend buying from Brookstone. They have (double check this as it's been a while) a full money back satisfaction guarantee. That's cash back, not store credit like with most mattress stores. You get 90 days to try in-home and if you don't like it, you return it (I believe they come pick it up, because that sucker is heavy and there's no way you can just throw it in your car and take it to the mall).
I don't know all the models anymore as it's been a while since we bought ours and they didn't all exist back then.
No, I don't feel DH move at all. My friend is a very light sleeper and the TP mattress has helped her get better sleep just because she doesn't feel her DH moving around.
Love, love, love our Tempur-Pedic. Oh, and absolutely no problems having sex on it. I've never understood the issue with that, to be honest.
