Are bark and candy coating the same thing?

Can I use candy coating on cake balls if it calls for bark?

Thanks!

Re: Are bark and candy coating the same thing?

  • I think you can... I used candy coating when it called for bark and they came out okay. Personally I didn't like the chocolate flavor of the candy coating.... so cake balls for me are just Meh.

I don't like it either. I don't know if it was the brand. But I didn't taste chocolate. It tasted oily.

  • You can use candy coating, bark, or real chocolate.
